We'll tell you if you don't need a rebuild.

First read

What's it doing?

Slip, delay, a puddle, a light. Pick what matches. We'll tell you whether to keep driving it.

What's it doing?

Tap every symptom that sounds right.

Not a diagnosis — a first read so you know whether to drive it, tow it, or just book a look.

How it goes

No mystery invoices.

  1. 01

    Call or book

Describe what it's doing. We'll tell you if it should be towed, driven in, or can wait a few days.

  2. 02

    Look before we quote

Scan, fluid, and a road test. If the pan has to come down, that's part of knowing — not a surprise add-on.

  3. 03

    A number in writing

Repair, rebuild, or replace — with what it costs and what it covers. Nothing starts until you say go.

  4. 04

Fix it. Road test. Hand it back.

You pick it up knowing what was done. If something feels off after, you call the same number.

Why this shop

Small bay. Direct answers.

TNT Transmission Ltd is an independent specialty shop in Genesis Business Park — not a franchise with a service writer between you and the work. You talk to the people turning wrenches.

Licensed with the City of Calgary since 2009. Fleet and shop accounts welcome. If a dealer is the honest answer, we'll say that too.

Common questions

Straight answers.

Do I always need a rebuild?

No. A lot of 'transmission' complaints are fluid level, a solenoid, a cooler line, a valve body, or a converter clutch. We diagnose first. If a $400 repair will hold, we say so.

How long does a diagnostic take?

Most are same-day if you drop it in the morning. A full diagnosis with a pan drop and road test is usually a few hours, not a week — unless we're waiting on a part to confirm.

Can I wait in the shop?

It's a working bay, not a lounge. For a quick look, yes. For a rebuild, drop it and we'll call. Franklin LRT is two blocks away if you need a ride into town.

Do you work on CVTs and dual-clutch units?

Bring it in. Some CVTs are serviceable here; some are module or replacement jobs. We'll tell you which, and if a dealer is the honest answer.

What about warranty?

Coverage depends on the job — service, repair, rebuild, or replacement. We put it in writing on the estimate before work starts. Ask when you book.

Do you take fleet or shop accounts?

Yes. If you send vehicles regularly, call and we'll set up an account. Independent shops, fleets, and one-off owners all come through the same bay door.

Bring it in. Or call first.
